Dr. Pramod Soni
Assistant Professor
Department of Civil Engineering, IIT (BHU), Varanasi, India
Dr. Pramod Soni is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT (BHU), Varanasi, with expertise in hydrology, water resources engineering, environmental fluid mechanics, and climate change impacts on water systems. He holds a Ph.D. and M.Tech. from IIT Kanpur and has served as a DAAD Exchange Fellow at KIT-IMK-IFU, Germany.
His research focuses on hydrological modelling, water quality assessment, watershed management, and climate resilience of water systems. He has extensive experience applying advanced tools such as SWAT, HEC-RAS, GIS, remote sensing, and machine learning to address complex water-resource challenges. At Climate Bridge Solutions, he contributes expertise in hydrological analysis, water-resource planning, climate impact assessment, and integrated watershed management.
Dr. Ashim Sattar
Assistant Professor
School of Earth, Ocean and Climate Science, IIT Bhubaneswar, India
Dr. Ashim Sattar is a cryosphere scientist and mountain hazard specialist whose research focuses on glacial lake outburst floods (GLOFs), glacier-climate interactions, remote sensing, and climate-related hazards in high mountain environments. He has made significant contributions to understanding glacier and glacial lake evolution, hazard assessment, flood modelling, and disaster risk reduction across the Himalayan region.
His work integrates field observations, geospatial technologies, and numerical modelling to evaluate climate-driven risks and support evidence-based adaptation and resilience planning. Widely recognized for his research on glacial lake hazards and cascading mountain disasters, he has contributed to several high-impact scientific studies that have informed policy and risk-management strategies. At Climate Bridge Solutions, he provides expertise in cryosphere science, mountain hazards, GLOF risk assessment, remote sensing, and climate resilience planning.
